Our newest program is targeted for parents and their families. Susan West launched The Family Boardroom: Planning For Financial Freedom on October 24, 2010. Participants gained valuable information on how to engage their families in creating a family board meeting for themselves. The workshop was very interactive with parents completing exercises that prepared them for their very first Family Boardroom meeting.
One of the favorite parts of the program was the introduction of the QuadWest Family – Bill, Mark and James. Participants were able to ask Mark and James, (Susan’s sons) on the benefits they gained from being a part of the West Family Boardroom meetings. James spoke to the mindset about money that he learned and now appreciates as a college student managing his finances for rent, living expenses and fun. Mark commented on how he understands how important it is to set goals and work on achieving them. He shared how he has gone after goals and realized them year after year. As their Mom, I was really proud and grateful for their openness in sharing with all of the participants.
Here’s what they had to say:
“Great tools for bringing families together in a setting that will provide a safe environment to communicate dreams, goals and family values.”
- Kathy M., Rochester Hills, MI
“Susan’s program was very organized, flowed well and provided good supporting documentation.”
- Rich K.. West Bloomfield, MI
“The Family Boardroom workshop material had valuable exercises and very poignant questions were asked. What I gained most from Susan’s presentation was the clean/concise way she laid out the process and how to adapt it to our own family situation.”
-Joanne P., Grosse Pointe Woods, MI
